NSAuditor AI Community Edition is a free, open-source (MIT) network security audit tool from Nsasoft US LLC. It runs entirely on your own machine on Windows, macOS or Linux and scans the hosts and networks you point it at.

What it does:
- 27 scanner plugins probe hosts over ICMP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, TLS, SNMP, DNS, SMB, RPC, mDNS, UPnP and WS-Discovery: host discovery, port and service detection, OS fingerprinting, SSH, web application and database detection.
- TLS certificate and cipher checks, and DNS security checks.
- Detects exposed MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers on the network and flags cleartext transport, missing authentication and anonymous tool listing.
- A result concluder merges every plugin's output into one normalized view with severity, evidence and remediation for each finding.
- Exports SARIF 2.1 and CSV, with severity gating for CI/CD pipelines.
- Watch mode rescans on a schedule, compares against the previous run and can send webhook alerts on changes.
- Built-in MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude run scans for you.
- Optional AI analysis of scan results with your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, or fully local with Ollama.

Privacy: no telemetry and no phone-home. Nsasoft never receives your scan data; reports are written to your own disk. AI analysis is off unless you configure it.

Requirements: Node.js 20 or later. Install with: npm install -g nsauditor-ai

Upgrade path: NSAuditor AI Pro adds CVE matching, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, risk scoring and client-ready reports. NSAuditor AI Enterprise adds read-only AWS, Azure and GCP auditing and compliance evidence packs. Community Edition remains free with no time limit.
