The rules are simple. The goal is to reduce pairs of numbers to reduce all numbers on the board. Two cells are reduced if their numbers are the same or if their sum is 10. If this condition is met, a period is placed in both cells instead of numbers, and these cells are no longer included in the game. Cells selected for reduction must be adjacent horizontally or vertically (not diagonally!). Cells between which there are only empty (blanked) cells are also considered adjacent. Moreover, since cells are scanned from left to right and top to bottom, cells with coordinates (1,1) and (8,5), for example, are also considered adjacent if all the cells between them are empty "along the scanning path." If there are no more cells to reduce, but there are still cells with numbers on the board, the button for adding new numbers is pressed. The remaining numbers are then added to the end of the table, in order, from left to right and top to bottom. They now also participate in the game.
