The PATools Volume Data Manager is a suite of tools for manipulating large volumes of data such as text or comma delimited files, or files in Data Interchange Format.

Each of the tools works by reading in the specified input file(s) line by line and outputting those that you specify into separate output file(s).

No tool will change, modify or delete your original input file(s) in any way.



The software offers the following tools:

Count records

- runs through your input file(s) and counts the records that match the criteria you specify.

Extract records

- runs through your input file(s) and extracts the records that match the criteria you specify to a new file.

Extract unique records

- runs through your input file(s) and extracts the unique records, leaving duplicates behind.

Compare 2 files

- allows you to compare two files line by line and output any differences.

Combine multiple files

- allows you to combine a number of smaller files into one new file.

Break up file

- allows you to create a number of new smaller files from your original file.
