As theowner of the RAtilde;djenAuml;s estate outside EksjAtilde;, Sweden, he was a wealthy man. Itwas natural for him to place this order with the leading piano manufacturerin Scandinavia at the time: J.G. MalmsjAtilde;. This is the Piano wich weresampled... Oh well this model and a few others hehehe...The MalmsjAtilde; Acoustic Grand includes three instruments: The original quot;MalmsjAtilde;Acoustic Grandquot;, quot;MalmsjAtilde; Acoustic Grand Xquot;, and quot;MalmsjAtilde; Rock Grandquot;. Theoriginal MAG contains only the originally recorded velocity layers: pp, p,mf, and f . The quot;MAG Xquot; version has an additional ff layer between C3 C6.This layer has been conceived by EQing the f layer so that it would appearto be played quot;harderquot;. The quot;MalmsjAtilde; Rock Grandquot; has had the samples betweenC3 C6 in the f layer replaced with the EQd ff samples.quot;MalmsjAtilde; Acoustic Grandquot; has been developed to accurately reproduce thekeyboard response, and every subtle dynamic nuance of the originalinstrument. To take advantage of this, it is important to set up yourkeyboard as outlined in quot;Optimizing Your Keyboard Setup for MAGquot; .Every key is sampled individually, and every tone is allowed to ring untilthe end of its natural decay. The piano has been sampled with the damperpedal down only.There are several advantages to this approach:1. The number of samples is drastically reduced, allowing for orchestrainstruments to share RAM with the piano.2. Normal sustain pedal technique works just like on a real piano (i.e. thepedal is pressed down after the key). 3.
