Music from the Torah is a unique program that can extract esoteric melodies from the Hebrew Text of the Torah and Tanach. The user will easily be able to make great sounding melodies within just a few seconds of installation.
As the melodies are playing the program displays the Hebrew Text and it's English translation. The letter being converted to music is shown highlighted and the text is shown one verse at a time. Interesting melodies can be saved to a Midi file for later playback and/or editing. Both pre-defined and user defined schemes may be selected at any time to instantly change the configuration of the software.
The heart of the software is a totally configurable 16 channel Midi sequencer. The user may select from a range of instruments and choose which letter plays which note or chord.
Even as a pure Bible Study tool this program excels. Bible text can be selected on a per verse basis with both the Hebrew and English translations displayed. Simple navigation makes it a breeze to read though the Scripture and, if you want, you can instantly hear what it sounds like when converted to music.
There really is no other software like this. It's something that you shouldn't pass up the opportunity to run on your own computer. This is the one program that will probably leave you totally amazed and one which you will talk about for days, if not weeks.
At least one commercial CD has been compiled based on the melodies extracted with this software. Who knows, after a period of using the software, maybe you can release a CD too.
